Description
You drive through the east of Luxembourg, the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg‘s Little Switzerland, through charming villages. The start is in Echternach, Luxembourg's oldest city, with its many architectural highlights, tranquil market square and the lively shopping street, Rue de la Gare. Along sandstone rock formations, the geological highlights of the Mëllerdall UNESCO Global Geopark, the route continues to the castles in Beaufort and Larochette, where you should plan more time than just for a photo stop. Bourglinster and its castle captivate with medieval flair. On plateaus, along flowering meadows and fields, you return to the abbey town of Echternach.
The Regioun Mëllerdall Tour is not individually signposted. On large parts, the r oute follows the course of the "Grand Tour du Luxembourg".
The route leads through the following villages: Echternach, Berdorf, Mullerthal, Christnach, Beaufort, Reisdorf, Folkendange, Nommern, Larochette, Heffingen, Fischbach, Bourglinster, Junglinster, Mompach, Echternach.
