The Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland...
... was created in 2007 as an "association sans but lucratif" (non-profit organization). The team is directed by CEO Linda Salentin and is responsible for the following tasks:
- develop and promote the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland as tourist destination;
- develop a regional tourism concept and create new tourism products in accordance with the national marketing strategy;
- protect and improve the visibility of the natural, cultural and historical heritage of the regio
The Regional Tourist Office of the Mullerthal Region – Luxembourg’s Little Switzerland has the following members:
- 14 municipalities in the cantons of Echternach, Mersch, Diekirch and Grevenmacher,
- 10 tourist offices;
- 3 further tourist associations
The regional tourist office is fund by the Ministry of Economic Affairs - General Direction for Tourism and by its members. It also finances itself to a small extent. The private sector is co-funding the regional tourist office by placing advertisements in the print and Web space and by sponsorship.
The regional tourist office has as organs the General Assembly (assemblée générale), the Board of Directors (Conseil d'Administration) and the Executive Committee (Comité de Gérance). The Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Culture, the Natur- & Geopark Mëllerdall and "Luxembourg for Tourism" are represented as observers.
