Swimming in Echternach Lake

Dive into the cool water in beautiful nature

Swimming is permitted at one specific area of the lake of Echternach. You can access this area via the small island not far from the youth hostel. Various footbridges have been built to make it easy to get in and out of the water. You can enjoy the sun on a sandy beach.

Admission is free and guaranteed from 7 am until 10 pm in the summer months.

Refreshments and snacks are available at the nearby youth hostel or the snack bar on Adventure Island.

The area is barrier-free, but access to the water is only possible via ladders. Dogs (except assistance dogs) are not allowed in the bathing and beach area. Toilets and showers are available on site.

Parking is available at the entrance to the lake or next to the youth hostel.

Please note: Swimming in Lake Echternach is at your own risk. There is no bathing supervision on site.
