Description
On this somewhat longer path of 11 km, forests, meadows and fields alternate with passages through the villages. You will enjoy some far-reaching views over the plateaus.
This path initially leads over a cycle path, along the old railway line between Luxembourg and Echternach.
You walk through the tunnel in Bech, which used to be a railway tunnel until 1954. Then tyou walk up to Altrier, past an old wash fountain.
After getting back to Bech, the hiking trail makes a detour east of Bech. On this section you can experience a small foretaste of the rocky landscape of the region, before the Hirzbierg is bypassed in a large arc and then back to the starting point.
