Baraka
Compagnie Atoll K
Circus and object theater for all ages 5 and up
"You drink tea to forget the noise of the world". - Lu Yu, tea master of the Tang Dynasty (618-907).
Between circus art and object theater, Baraka is a delicate and mischievous play in which two characters, like bartenders, invite to absurd aesthetic or comic, virtuoso or simple games. In the burlesque tradition and with a lot of rhythm, they alienate objects from their original purpose, make teapots fly and glasses dance, make sugar float in mechanical choreographies, let tea bags undulate like the flute player makes the snake move...
Somewhere between duel and duet, they take the audience to the limits of absurd theater, an invitation to pause... but only for a cup of tea!
