Joe Pott discovered classical guitar at the age of 12. In 2020, he obtained a Bachelor of Music in artistic and pedagogical studies in Freiburg im Breisgau, and in 2024, he completed his Master’s degree in instrumental and pedagogical studies in Frankfurt am Main. He is currently writing his master’s thesis on the topic of performance anxiety.

The repertoire of this concert spans different eras and styles. Among the pieces performed are Chaconne. by Johann Sebastian Bach, as well as works by Agustín Barrios Mangoré, Leo Brouwer, Sérgio Assad, and others.

Classical guitar achieves its best sound in a moderately sized hall with suitable acoustics, making the Girsterklaus, with its wonderful acoustics, an ideal venue. Additionally, it lends the concert a very special atmosphere.
